West Coast Electric Fleets was founded as an initiative of the Pacific Coast Collaborative, a joint initiative of California, Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia to accelerate a vibrant, low-carbon economy on the West Coast. The PCC has set the goal to “take actions to expand the use of zero-emission vehicles, aiming for 10 percent of new vehicle purchases in public and private fleets by 2016.” WCEF is a network of fleet partners working to incorporate zero emission vehicles in their fleets. WCEF provides communication between partners, support from implementation partners, and an online toolkit. Atlas worked with the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions to design and create the toolkit. The toolkit enables fleet managers to quickly assess current fleet composition and identify opportunities for ZEVs, calculate and compare costs and savings of incorporating ZEVs into fleets, and access information about available incentives and applicable policies.
This project was completed in the summer of 2015.
