Aria Kovalovich is a Summer Graduate Fellow at Atlas Public Policy, where she contributes to data-driven research and analysis on U.S. clean energy manufacturing and deployment and building decarbonization, including supporting the Clean Economy Tracker and Buildings Hub.
Prior to Atlas, Aria spent seven years advancing climate policy and leading investigations in the U.S. Congress. Most recently, as a Senior Investigator for the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, investigated reorganizations at the Environmental Protection Agency. In previous roles at the Senate Budget Committee and House Oversight Committee, she conducted oversight of energy companies that resulted in major reports, document releases, and hearings. Earlier in her career, on the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, she drafted and supported passage of bipartisan legislation that updated national precipitation data used to design flood-resilient infrastructure and coordinated artificial intelligence applications across the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
She is pursuing a Master of International Affairs focused on Data Science for Policy at Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs and holds a B.A. in Environmental Management and Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania.
