Between 2021 and 2025, the United States experienced an unprecedented clean energy manufacturing boom, bringing hundreds of thousands of jobs to communities across the country. For many years, supportive federal policies accelerated private investment in clean energy manufacturing. However, 2025 was a year of stark change. Growth has stagnated primarily due to Trump administration policies and cuts to clean energy tax credits.
